This Black Poplar tree growing on the side Stratford upon Avon golf course until it had to be felled due to having Honey Fungus. My favourite tree surgeon brought me two large logs of which this is a small piece. It has a crazy amount of figure, the soft eyes in the burr have been filled with holographic epoxy making a feature of them. It has been finished with several coats of eco-friendly waterborne gloss lacquer which requires no maintenance.
The Hornbeam lid has a hand cut 12tpi thread ensuring a secure closure. It has a capacity of 600ml (20 fl oz) and measures 100mm H x 140mm D (4" H x 5 ½" D)
