English Walnut with Aluminium Epoxy Kintsugi

English Walnut is one of my favourite woods to use, with its rich chocolate colour and easy workability it is a joy to turn.
This piece came from the tree that was badly damaged in a recent storm and the owner wanted it to be used rather than chopped up for firewood.
It had some characteristic heart shake which I accentuated with some 'Kintsugi for Wood' with aluminium epoxy and finished it with several coats of an eco-friendly hardwax oil.

It measures 225mm H x 165mm D and has a volume of 2.6ltrs.
