Figured English Walnut with Bronze Epoxy 'Stitching'

English Walnut is one of my favourite woods to use, with its rich chocolate colour and easy workability it is a joy to turn.
This piece came from the tree that was badly damaged in a recent storm and the owner wanted it to be used rather than chopped up for firewood. This piece has some beautiful feather figuring and wonderful variations in colour,  it also has some characteristic heart shake which I accentuated with some 'Kintsugi for Wood' using bronze epoxy 'stitching'. It finished it with several coats of an eco-friendly hardwax oil which requires no maintenance other than dusting with a soft cloth.
