Olive Ash isn’t a separate species of Ash, it’s a term used to describe the colours of dark brown to almost black heartwood usually found in larger trees which looks like Olive wood. This piece shows the distinctive separation between the colourful heart and the paler sapwood. The Blackwood lid has a contrasting English Holly finial and a hand cut 12 tip thread. It measure 320mm (12 ½”) H x 210mm (8 1/4”) D and a capacity of 4.6ltrs (280cu in)
