Made from a piece of the stump burr that came from the garden of the old cider mill in the village of Ardens Grafton in Warwickshire. The figure and colouring in the wood is spectacular and really has to be handled to appreciate it. All the splits and drying cracks have been filled with bronze epoxy, making a subtle feature of them. It’s been finished with an eco-friendly hardwax oil which requires no maintenance other than the occasional dusting. The Ziracote (Cordia dodecandra) lid has a hand cut 12 tpi thread ensuring a secure closure.
It measures 250mm H x 155mm D (9 ¾" x 6") and has a capacity of 2.2 ltrs (134 cubic inches)
